Bob and Beck bought Baxter Boatfitting Services from Jon and Lynne Monk (now happily retired) in 2015 and re-named the business Baxter Boatyard to reflect the many other jobs undertaken as well as boat fitting.
We continue to provide a range of services and facilities, including: dry dock (12′ 6” wide), on-site welding and fabrication, carpentry and fit outs, repaints and signwriting, blacking, engine installations and services , BSS work, plumbing and general repairs, full wharf side services, gas, coal, diesel and pump outs ( except when the canal is frozen -so is the machine) and an on-site chandlery.
We have made a few changes to the yard since we bought the business, most obviously the wharf area where Bob has built a new chandlery which will provide useful boating equipment to help our customers enjoy their time on the water. We are continuing to improve the site. Beck has planted a flower border and we hope to start filling in the blue circles soon.....
